Gelila Assefa is an internationally recognized designer and was born in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. She is also an international award-winning philanthropist, successful businesswoman who has been featured on the CNN and other known publication and based in Southern California where she lives with her husband Chef Wolfgang Puck and their two sons.
Gelila’s fashion brand, Gelila Style is known for her deep-rooted East African Heritage. During her early life stage, she showed great interest and passion for fashion which resulted in her being reprimanded by the Catholic school for embroidering her grade school uniform.
After completing her high school education in Ethiopia, she moved to the United States to further her education in Business and Fashion and later made her way to the Los Angeles Trade Technical College.
