Janna Levin is a professor of Physics and Astronomy (philosophy specialization) at Barnard College of Columbia University.

Janna Levin was awarded a Doctor of philosophy in theoretical physics at Massachusetts Institute of technology in 1993.

She also works in a studio space in pioneer works in the company of artists and musicians in company with artists and musicians as the director of sciences.

She has authored and published 3 very loved books “How the Universe Got Its Spots”, ” A mad man’s Dreams of Turing” where she documents Alan Turing’s, maths genius and how his prowess helped him break the Nazi Enigma code during the World War 1.

The book is award winning because of its exceptional fiction, gaining her the Mary Shelley Award and the PEN/Bingham fellowship for writers.

Her other book is “Black Hole Blues” in which she offers the reader with an account of the activities of scientists in the trial to capture gravitational waves for 50 years, whose existence was caused by the collision of two black holes. The trio has made her an award-winning writer and also earned her the title “Theoretical Astrophysicist”.

Her books are recommended for people with an interest in science and the power of imagination by humans.

She was the only scientist in Ruskin School of fine art and Drawing at Oxford to be awarded by NETSA(national endowment for science, technology, and arts)
