  1. I think Stan should earn the most because his extreme experiences and calm demeanour when tested, are so varied and fascinating.
His son Joey is a credit to him, full of talent, versatility, generosity and consideration for his community along with his willingness to work hard and persevere make him a praise-worthy ‘chip off the old block’.
Charlie is also one of my favourites for all of the above and for his instinting support of his reticent son Bob, who was so keen on opting out of playing his part in fully committing to his his family’s arduous way of life and to the greater community of Tanana. I have to ask myself if Bob would still be there were it not for being paid handsomely?
I live in England where parents seldom praise their children the way Charlie and Stan do. They could not be more encouraging and perceptive. We could do with some of that here.
Courtney should get more pay because she steps up whenever required and shows that women are also valued in this predominantly macho society, where men who are stronger take on the most physical roles. She showed what she was made of when building the smoke house.
Nations is overpaid but maybe the money the cast members have is not reflecting what they earn, rather what they have saved?
At present, which is February 2018, I am forced to rewatch earlier programmes because we have yet to see series 8 and series 7 is not longer available to view, which is a shame because it’s quite confusing to go back in time and lose continuity.
It’s wonderful to see men who can fix and make anything and often in sub-zero temperatures with little but recycled junk, often with bears and wolves or unforgiving nature yapping at their heels. Many men in the Western World cannot change a fuse or put up a shelf. Women are no better, often boasting they cannot cook or sew on a button. How do they feed and care for their children?
I know who I would prefer to be cast away with on a desert Island!
All in all, a great series with life affirming values displayed in every single show. Let’s have more please, and soon!

  2. Shame on Animal Plantet, Courtney kicks butt on Yukon Men and should be shown the
same respect as her fellow cast members when it comes to earnings.

  3. It’s with great difficulty that what i put here in regards to a couple of ‘casts’ gets me so angry!!! #1 We all know that Courtney Agnes was a very strong part of Yukon Men, right from the start of this series!!! She should have gotten over $450,000 at the very least!!! And then you brought in a weird come-lately (very late!), who takes over a trapline that another man had kept trapping on, and that Nations Jordan can’t even act, don’t sat much of anything, AND you pay him $450,000??? For what??? Someone, please tell me, what has he done??? You better give that raise to Courtney Agnes immediately; for it’s ONLY fair!!!

  4. The values and way of life is great and the way thay bring up there children there should be more of this in Britain.
